EXPERT SERVICES

Forensic Behavioral Services International’s goal is to provide our clients’ with trusted and world class expertise in consultations, case analysis and interpretation, and expert testimony supported through articulate, concise, and detailed written reports. Our clients’ include prosecutors and defense attorneys, law enforcement agencies, civil attorneys, Fortune 500 companies, and foreign entities throughout the world. Using the process of Criminal Behavioral Analysis, we analyze and interpret aberrant, violent, and unusual behavior left at the crime scenes by the offender.

The serious injury and in some cases death resulting from a violent crime is often what underlies the reason for filing a civil case.

Violent crimes are complex and multifaceted stories that must be interpreted by analyzing the behavioral dynamics at the scene and then integrating that information with what is gleaned from the physical and forensic evidence to gain a complete understanding of what transpired. Every violent crime has a story behind it that the investigators and attorneys need to uncover. This story is ultimately told by properly evaluating the forensics and behavioral clues in the context of both chronological and temporal (time) perspectives of both the offender and the victim.

In premises liability cases, both the plaintiff and defendant can benefit from understanding whether the offender could have been deterred from assaulting, injuring, or killing the victim. Understanding this information often impacts the crux of the litigation.

In addition, the following critical questions must be answered to have a complete picture of the crime, the offender who committed it and the relationship between the victim, offender and the location where the crime occurred:

  • What happened?
  • How did it happen?
  • Why did it happen?
  • Who is responsible?
  • Could it have been prevented?

While these seem simple on the surface, they have deceptively complex answers. For example, the following must be assessed: location, victimology, victim and offender risk levels, approach and access to the victim and scene, physical deterrents, MO (modus operandi), ritual behavior, planning, organization, motive, weapon use, injury dynamics, cause(s) of death, the nature and sequence of activity at the scene, pre and post offense activity and many other attributes.

What your case gains from a Criminal Behavioral Analysis:

  • Nationally qualified experts who have examined over 7,000 homicides and other violent crimes.
  • Professional expertise in the detailed and accurate analysis, interpretation, and accurate reconstruction of the events of the crime and crime scenes.
  • Unmatched FBI expertise, methodology, experience, and work product.
  • Written reports that are articulate, unbiased, complete, supportable, and clearly understandable from a layperson’s perspective.
  • Professional expert witness litigation support that can inform and educate, in a clear manner, the trier of facts in depositions, trials and other court proceedings.
